Occupational Therapist – B OccThy

Natasha graduated with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from the University of Queensland in 2011. Before working at Lifetime Therapy Services, Natasha has worked in both the private and public sector giving her extensive understanding of children’s development, how to holistically support families and how to promote participation, learning and independence at home, school and in the community.

Natasha has a passion for promoting learning and development through play and working with families, teachers, and other clinicians to support development across all areas (we all know it takes a village!). Natasha has a specific interest in working with children, adolescents and young adults who have physical and multiple impairments, and in particular assistive technology and equipment prescription. She also has extensive experience supporting neurodiverse clients,  clients with sensory processing differences and motor delays/ challenges and intellectual disabilities (including non-verbal clients). Natasha loves supporting clients of all ages to achieve their goals and participate in activities they want and need to do (including self-care tasks such as toileting, mealtime management/ cooking and dressing, play/ leisure and learning activities).

Natasha’s approach to therapy is holistic and highly adaptable and individual to each client. She understands that parents/ care givers know the child best and are the most integral part of the intervention process. She utilises an extensive range of evidence-based approaches to therapy to meet the needs of the client. Therapy services can be delivered in clinic or in the home, school or community environment.

Natasha is registered as an Occupational Therapist through Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, Better Access to Mental Health Provider (Medicare) and a member of Occupational Therapy Australia.
